Seraphine Noir is a Canadian based musician, who blends Jazz with digital synths and modern day compositions.
A lot of their works are just singles and they've never released an album so I used the single covers as a base of reference.
First this started wtih the illustration, I decided to use one of my favorite long time artist, Yoshitaka Amano. His work
always has this ethereal kind of soft vibe that I wanted to give off with the cover. The background was a Photo I got from a resource pack,
which I then applied a gradient map over to apply a consistent color scheme.
I wanted to stay consistent with the designs in the previous single covers, but also wanted to maintain the new look that they were going in. The newer singles just featured one key illustration with a simple color pallete. I took the circle motif from the earlier covers and wanted to keep it as a subtle reference and a lot of their current works feature a lot of heavy distortion or editing, so I wanted to emulate that by making the illustration feel as if it was dissapating into the background.
